The Iranian government has sent a text message (SMS) to residents of Tehran, urging them to leave the capital, which has been targeted by a new joint military attack by the United States and Israel. The news is reported by the Islamic Republic's media.
According to videos and testimonies published and verified by the Iran International channel, long columns of vehicles have formed on the main roads of the capital, while many residents try to leave for fear of further attacks. The footage shows significant traffic jams in some areas of the city.
Iran International also reported that authorities have sent equipment and personnel to Evin prison, known for holding political opponents. At the same time, other videos show columns of smoke and explosions heard in Tehran and Shushtar. In the western district of Chitgar, residents reported detonations and posted images of smoke.
In Shiraz, a video obtained by the same media outlet shows gunfire and people chanting slogans against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Other footage shows explosions near the leader's office in Tehran. According to reports from Iran International, explosions and fires were also seen in the Parchin region and Jam district. In some areas of the capital, there were also cheers after news of alleged strikes on regime leaders spread.
On the economic front, according to data that has circulated in recent hours, the US dollar has reached the level of 175,000 tomans on the free market, which indicates a significant depreciation of the Iranian currency and increased financial tensions.
