Shkruar nga PamfletiPresident Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine's defense forces struck a military-industrial complex in the Russian city of Cheboksary on the night of May 4-5 in response to ongoing terrorist acts from Moscow.
Last night, combat launches of F-5 Flamingo cruise missiles were carried out as part of the Armed Forces' "Deep Strike" operation against several enemy targets, including facilities of the military-industrial complex in Cheboksary.
Zelensky noted that Ukrainian-made Flamingo missiles traveled more than 1,500 km to hit the military production plant that produces relay protection systems, automation equipment, and low-voltage equipment.
The plant has supplied navigation components to the Russian Navy, missile industry, aviation and armored vehicles, equipment used by Russia in its war against Ukraine. Zelensky also released a video from the 19th Missile Brigade showing the launch of Flamingo missiles.
"Russia must end its war and turn to real diplomacy. We have made our proposal clear. Glory to Ukraine!" Zelensky said.
Users on Russian social media communities reported that a Ukrainian missile had hit the VNIIR-Progress defense plant in Cheboksary, the capital of Russia's Chuvash Republic, on the night of May 4-5.
