The May 22 drone attack on an educational complex in Luhansk, where according to the Russian side several people were killed, caused a strong reaction from Moscow.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in a post on Telegram, warned of a strong response from Russia and called on foreign diplomats to leave Kiev.
" The Zelensky regime and its Western sponsors, who supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with weapons for crimes against our people, showed the whole world their open disregard for the norms of international humanitarian law ," Zakharova wrote.
“ All this has crossed the limits of patience. In the current conditions, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are carrying out systematic attacks on enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex in Kiev, including specific facilities for the design, production, programming and preparation for the use of UAVs ,” she added.
According to Zakharova, the drones "are used by the Kiev regime with the assistance of NATO specialists, responsible for supplying components, providing information and coordinating targets."
" Striking will be carried out against both decision-making centers and command centers ," she declared.
Zakharova also warned foreign citizens and diplomatic personnel to leave the Ukrainian capital.
" Given that the mentioned facilities are located in different areas of Kiev, we warn foreign citizens, including personnel of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations, of the need to leave the city as soon as possible ," she said.
She also called on Kiev residents " not to approach the military and administrative facilities of the Zelensky regime ."
