United States President Donald Trump stated that military operations against Iran are progressing at a very high pace, assessing the progress of the American campaign on a scale of "15 out of 10".
Speaking in Florida during the "Shield of the Americas" hemispheric security summit, attended by conservative leaders from the American continent, Trump said military intervention was necessary.
" The war against Iran is a service that we are providing, not just to the Middle East, but to the entire world ," the US president declared.
He added that the Iranian authorities are made up of "bad people," also referring to the October 7, 2023 attack against Israel, for which he accused Iran of supporting the actors involved.
" We had to intervene. They were very close to achieving a nuclear weapon ," Trump said.
His comments come as the conflict in the region continues to escalate. According to Iranian authorities, joint US and Israeli attacks have so far caused more than 1,330 deaths in Iran.
The conflict has heightened tensions in the Middle East and sparked strong international reactions, while military operations and political statements by the parties involved continue.
