16 people lost their lives and 31 others are missing as a result of the floods caused after the collapse of the Kakhovka dam in Ukraine. For the collapse of this dam, Kiev and Moscow blame each other.
"16 people died: 14 in the Kherson region and 2 in the Mykolaiv region. "31 people are still missing," according to Ukraine's interior ministry, after Russia reported 29 deaths in areas it controls.
A few days ago the dam was blown up as a result of the Russian bombings, while the latter did not accept the authorship of the attack, accusing Ukraine.
We recall that the UN announced that 17,000 people were affected by the floods after the collapse of the dam and that this number could rise to 40,000.
