White House Quarrel/ "F*ck you", the clash between Musk and Bessent in

Another strong clash between the trusted people of Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States. The latest incident has as protagonists Elon Musk, the billionaire who in many cases is perhaps becoming a cost to Trump, and the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent.

The entire scene unfolded in front of Donald Trump, while the screams between them were also heard by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who was visiting the White House last week.

American media outlet Axios, citing two witnesses and three other sources, describes the clash as the most intense in President Trump's staff.

"It was a real scene. It was loud," said one of the sources referred to by Axios.

"Two middle-aged billionaires met in the West Wing lobby (of the White House) and decided this (wrestling show) should be WWE," another source said.

According to Axios, Musk called Bessent a "Soros agent" (he worked for several years at billionaire George Soros' investment firm Soros Fund Management). But the Treasury Secretary at one point during the argument shouted "f*ck you," to which Musk responded: "Say it louder."

The conflict was so heated that an aide stood between the two men to separate them. The insults were heard by Italian Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni, who was visiting the White House that day.

The incident occurred a week ago, on April 17. As The New York Times reports, the reason was the appointment of the commissioner of the US Internal Revenue Service.

Bessent was unhappy that Musk had managed to appoint the previous head of the department, Gary Shepley, while the organization reports to the Secretary of the Treasury.

The White House did not deny Axios' information, saying that "disagreements sometimes arise" between the president's subordinates and cabinet members.

"We believe this is part of a healthy deliberative process. And everyone knows that President Trump ultimately makes the decisions," said administration spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt.

Musk and Bessent have been at odds for several months, Axios recalls.

During Trump's selection of his cabinet, the billionaire sought the appointment of Treasury Secretary Howard Lutnick, but the position was given to a resident.

Elon Musk is the richest man in the world. Forbes estimates his fortune at $368.8 billion. Scott Bessent is not a billionaire, his fortune is $521 million, RBC recalls. /Adapted from Pamphlet/
