
With less than half an hour to go before the polling stations close in Germany, local media outlets have begun releasing their polls and predictions regarding the outcome.

A poll published by Bild reveals that Olaf Scholz's SPD is predicted to receive 15 percent of the vote. Friederich Merz's CDU is leading with 29.5 percent. Robert Habeck's Greens are expected to receive 12.5 percent, while Alice Weidel's AfD is expected to receive around 21 percent.

How many seats would the major parties win in the Bundestag? Olaf Scholz's SPD would get 105 MPs, Friederich Merz's CDU would get 205 MPs, Alice Weidel's AfD 146 MPs, Robert Habeck's "Greens" 87 MPs, "The Left" would get 52 MPs, while the BSW would only get 35 MPs.
Friederich Merz is expected to be the favorite for Chancellor with 25 percent, followed by Alice Weidel with 22 percent. Then come Robert Habeck with 16 percent, followed by Scholz with 15 percent.
