Ukraine has announced that it will sue Poland, Hungary and Slovakia for their refusal to lift the ban on the import of Ukrainian wheat. This was stated by the trade representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka in an interview for Politico.
Despite the fact that countries like Poland have been very vocal in their support for Ukraine, Kiev has decided to sue the World Trade Organization countries.
" I think the whole world should see how the EU member states behave towards their trading partners and their Union, because this can affect other countries as well, it is important to show that these actions are legally wrong. And that's why we will take legal action , "said Kachka.
We recall that Europe removed the veto that prohibits the import of Ukrainian wheat, but such a thing was rejected by countries such as Poland, Hungary and Slovenia, which extended the ban for a year. According to them, the introduction of Ukrainian wheat into their market would harm local farmers.
