Evangelos Loukos, the chief of Athens' municipal police, flew a drone with a thermal camera over the Greek capital to record the high temperatures that have engulfed it in recent days.
At one point, the temperature reached 61.6 degrees Celsius!
"The drone systems teams of the Athens Municipal Police Department operate and provide 24-hour enhanced surveillance of all parks and hills within the Municipality of Athens to prevent fires, as well as for timely notification in the event of an incident," said Evangelos Loukos.
