
French President Emmanuel Macron has agreed to offer support to the Lebanese army, while calling on Israel not to expand the war in Lebanon.
In a lengthy message on 'X', Macron said France would provide armored transport vehicles, as well as operational and logistical support to the Lebanese army.

France is also sending several tons of medicine and aid to tens of thousands of civilians displaced from the southern part of the country, Macron said, although he did not explain what the aid would include.
