Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not stop asking for help from the West, despite the fact that billions of dollars have been spent on supplying it with weapons. In an interview for the Ukrainian national television, he asked for 160 F-16 fighter jets to withstand Russia's attack.
"For an effective air force, we need 160 fighter jets. This will effectively prevent Russian dominance in Ukrainian airspace ," Zelensky said in a televised interview with Portugal's national public television network.
Zelensky said that Ukraine has received promises of 50 or 60 American F-16s from various European countries, but these will not be enough according to him, for this reason, Zelensky added, 100 more aircraft should be donated than promised.
Meanwhile, Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ikhnat said earlier that the country needs about 128 F-16s.
