Hamas has blamed Israel and the United States for the deaths of six hostages whose bodies were recovered from Gaza.
Hamas official Izzat al-Rishq said they would still be alive if Israel had accepted a ceasefire proposal that Hamas said it had agreed to support in July.
Hamas has offered to release the hostages in exchange for an end to the war, the withdrawal of Israeli forces and the release of a large number of Palestinian prisoners.
But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused the group of sabotaging ongoing ceasefire talks.
Recall that Israel has recovered the bodies of six hostages in Gaza, including a young Israeli-American boy who became one of the most notorious hostages taken by Hamas.
The army said all six people were killed shortly before they were rescued by Israeli forces.
The withdrawal of their troops prompted calls for mass protests against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom many of the hostages' families and much of the general Israeli public blame for failing to secure their release through a deal with Hamas that would have given them end of the 10-month war.
Negotiations for such an agreement have dragged on for months.
