Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has given a further update on the intelligence and military command report. In his evening speech, the Ukrainian president said that Vladimir Putin is definitely not preparing for a ceasefire or an end to the war.
" Putin is determined to present just one meeting with America as his personal victory and then continue to act exactly as before, exerting the same pressure on Ukraine as before."
"So far, there is no indication that the Russians have received signals to prepare for a post-war situation. On the contrary, they are repositioning their troops and forces in ways that suggest preparations for new offensive operations ," he said, adding that this is not what someone preparing for peace does.
Meanwhile, it was previously announced that Sir Keir Starmer will hold a virtual meeting on Ukraine with Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz.
The French government said the meeting of the coalition of willing partners comes ahead of Trump's meeting with Vladimir Putin on Friday. It added that other meetings in various formats will take place throughout the day, including with Trump.
