The United Nations organization, starting from the two-day extension of the agreement between Israel and Hamas, wants the ceasefire to become a complete ceasefire.
A spokesman for the head of the UN has said that he wants the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas to turn into a full humanitarian ceasefire.
" The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is getting worse every day. The dialogue that led to the agreement must continue, resulting in a full humanitarian ceasefire, for the benefit of the people of Gaza, Israel and the wider region ," said Stephane Dujarric on behalf of Antonio Guterres.
We've brought you a number of reports indicating that a two-day ceasefire extension was "close", but the ceasefire is not expected to become anything more than that.
" The United Nations will continue to support these efforts in every possible way ," Dujarric added.
