The disappearance of 5 billionaires while they were exploring for the Titanic, the three reasons why the rescue of the submarine is almost impossible

The disappearance of 5 billionaires while they were exploring for the Titanic,
The missing submarine

One of the biggest unknowns is where exactly the diver is...

The missing submarine is in a doubly unusual situation. First, because only a small part of the vehicles are capable of withstanding the pressure of sea depths close to 4000 meters. Second, because there are very few historical examples of rescue missions in similar circumstances. Those responsible for the recovery operation do not want to take risks, so they consider all possible hypotheses. Both those with a happy ending, already very unlikely, and those with a tragic ending.

One of the biggest unknowns is where exactly the diver is. The vast expanse of underwater terrain to explore exponentially multiplies the difficulty of the Coast Guard's job. At the moment, the best clue is receiving a steady signal coming from the depths, from a point near the wreckage. However, it is not known for certain that this communication comes from the missing submarine.

What would make it possible to save the five lost people would be their activation of the emergency systems. Why? Because the vehicle is programmed to automatically return to the surface if a major incident occurs. This would greatly facilitate the task of finding him, as he could be seen sailing from a plane or from one of the ships they are searching for. But the more time passes, the more implausible this scenario becomes.

Another possibility would be that the submarine had reached the bottom of the sea and suffered a breakdown there, meaning it is unable to return to the surface. If this has happened, the possibility of saving all five lives can be almost completely excluded. Even if the submarine could be found in time, the process would take too long and the crew would already have run out of oxygen.

It cannot be ruled out that a catastrophic problem in the submarine could have caused its sudden destruction by the great pressure that exists at a depth of 3800 meters, which is multiplied by 380 that in the atmosphere. While this would obviously mean that all the men would have died, it also at least rules out the dire scenario of them dying soon from lack of oxygen. In any case, the authorities do not seem to have ruled out the possibility and continue to keep alive the almost impossible option that it all ends well, with all crew members saved.

However, all these eventualities are compounded by other logistical obstacles that make rescue virtually impossible, even if the Titan's exact whereabouts were known. For starters, the vehicle available in the United States to perform underwater rescues can only dive up to 600 meters, so the only option would be to do everything with unmanned vessels. But this also presents insurmountable obstacles. Equipment of this type can only lift about 2 tons, and Titan weighs more than 10.
