US President Donald Trump's decision to suspend foreign funds has stirred up the situation in Albania.

Until today, the US was the main guarantor of SPAK's independence, but the Americans have removed all the experts from the Special Structure. This has caused the corrupt in our country to dance. Sali Berisha has taken the plunge and said he will make peace with justice, while Rama is using the opportunity to attack and exert pressure on the Special Structure.

But what will be the fate of SPAK now? “ Pamphlet ” addressed an e-mail to the State Department, with this content: “ In Albania, a radical reform of the justice system began in 2016 and has recently begun to yield results, as many high-level officials have been investigated or arrested for corruption. But since the US embassy in Tirana has not had an ambassador for more than a year, politics has increased the pressures on the justice system. We would like a position from your side, will the US under the leadership of President Trump continue to support justice reform in Albania? ”.

A State Department spokesman responded to the “ Pamphlet ,” noting that they did not take a position on the issue. He said they had forwarded the email to the U.S. embassy for a response, which continues to take the same position, the one dated January 26, referring to the press release by State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce: “ ...President Trump made it clear that the United States will no longer blindly give money that does nothing for the American people. Reviewing and reorganizing international assistance on behalf of hard-working taxpayers is not just the right thing to do, it is a moral obligation. The Secretary is proud to protect America’s investments with a deliberate and careful review of how we spend international assistance dollars abroad .”

So what will happen to justice? The answer seems to come at the end of April or the beginning of May. Trump suspended the funds for 90 days. Today, 1 month has passed since the decision and two more remain. On April 26, the deadline for the executive order is fulfilled and during this period it will be decided whether support for SPAK and justice reform in Albania will continue.

Meanwhile, the political stance will come after the appointment of the American ambassador to our country. Currently, the embassy continues to be without an ambassador and now it will be Trump who will sign the name he will bring to Tirana. With his arrival, we will also understand Trump's policy in Tirana. /Pamphlet
