Ilir Meta seems to have left his "ally" Sali Berisha in the mud. Before the elections, he remained at the PD headquarters, but after May 14, Meta is nowhere to be seen. Not only has he not met the head of "Foltor", but he has not appeared on any television show and has only made two short statements, about Kosovo and about the legalization of cannabis.
Looks like Meta is dealing with other issues. On May 14, he saw that his support has fallen and now the biggest problem is justice. Ilir Meta and his wife have 6 open files in SPAK and according to sources, they are fighting very hard behind the scenes to give him peace. So far SPAK has made several arrests, but they are not at the levels that the Albanian people are looking for.

But unlike Berisha who publicly blackmails and anathemas, Meta has chosen to work under the rug. According to sources, he is pulling out all the stops to avoid a criminal charge against him. Meta is also trying to stay close to the Americans and has removed all the wealth from his name. An order letter has gone to the USA and Meta is trying to stay close to them in the hope that BKH agents will not knock on his villa in Lalez. He initially distanced himself from Berisha, while a few days ago he shook hands with Ambassador Kim at the embassy's independence celebration.
But what are the files that alerted Meta?
The first file that scares the former president is undoubtedly that of the CEZ-DIA affair. There was a lawsuit against him by the lawyer Romeo Kara, and SPAK recently interrogated Meta. But that's all. No formal charges yet. There was also talk of a repentant witness, but the investigation is not progressing.
Another file that is being investigated is that of lobbying in the US. The suspicions are that when Meta was the chairman of LSI, he spent nearly 500,000 dollars on lobbying in the USA, money that has not been declared anywhere. Even this amount has many mysteries about its origin. SPAK has sent an order letter to the USA and there is no development in this regard.
SPAK is also investigating Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi for numerous aesthetic interventions. The published invoices show that they have spent nearly 300,000 euros for slimming and other interventions, but that the amounts in question have not been declared in the ILDKP.
There are also two lawsuits against them, one for hiding assets and one for corruption and abuse of office. Lawsuits filed by former MP Halit Valteri and journalist Adriatik Doçi.
Meanwhile, a few days ago it was Halit Valteri who filed a lawsuit for the documents that circulated recently that Monika Kryemadhi has received money from the Russians. There are many documents and many bank receipts that raise many questions.
It is not yet known what awaits SPAK, as the evidence is there. According to the sources, the excuse that is being made so far is that some letters sent abroad for the aesthetic interventions of the Meta couple and the lobbying in the USA have not arrived. It seems that Meta is using this freezing of the investigations in the hope that he will find his side and give him peace. But the former president forgets that the time of the block of 700,000 euros has passed, now another time has come and the corrupt will sooner or later give an account. / Pamphlet
