The provincial attacks on Josephine are not political, but low-level revenge that highlight the clash between the old clans and the new cubs of the Patriarchate.
Jozefina Topalli is a complex, problematic, incoherent political figure with, first of all, limited political experience.
Since 1996, when the rivalry with Pjetër Arbnori began, Jozefina has had a “carta bianca” in Shkodra politics, being for many years the most powerful figure in the most important city in the north and the symbol of Albanian culture.
Shkodra proved to be a heavy burden on her shoulders from the beginning. But, as has often happened with the politicians of this city, arrogance and provincialism have prevailed, not seeking help and trust in the great minds that Shkodra has always had.
Today, Jozefina Topalli has an indirect relationship with Shkodra, almost extinct. She lost the challenge when she came out with her own party, falling short even to other local actors whom she has watched from above for years. In short, Jozefina is not a player politically, but simply a mechanism of Sali Berisha, who cynically moves her sometimes to Fushë-Kuqe, sometimes to Milot. In Shkodra, these have become jokes.
What happened these days, with the personal attacks on Josephine by female figures in the Democratic Party, using her son's wedding as a trigger, is at least tasteless.
Essentially, it is a lack of citizenship, especially when it comes from a character like Grida Duma, who carries herself like an old Durrës resident. Against a counterpart from Shkodra, this is political misery.
Grida has many reasons to take revenge on Jozefina, because the latter blackened her life at the beginning of her career in the DP, when the Duma was still fragile. Topalli has often been harsh and, in some cases, even humiliating. The scene of Grida's overthrow at a public event, which was served to the media by Topalli's staff when she was Deputy Minister of Integration, was macabre. But in that episode Grida came out stronger, while Jozefina lost, showing herself to be mean.
Today, when Grida uses the wedding of Josephine's son for an attack, her behavior seems more like provincial revenge than a political stance. The attack does not harm Topalli politically, but it upsets the in-laws, a mountain family living in the US and who have not forgotten their origins.
If they want to "vet" the wedding expenses, let them do it properly, but not cynically. Because this resembles the old grudges of Greek Orthodox priests against Rome and the Vatican, brought up today on political dinner shows.
The priests who debated the sex of angels even when Sultan Mehmet turned Hagia Sophia into a mosque can at most talk about the Orthodox Church of Albania, which they control and finance, but not about Catholics. They cross the red line of the martyrs who have been exterminated in genocide for over 600 years since the infamous Siege of Shkodra.
Albanian Catholics have paid with the blood of martyrs for centuries, since the Siege of Shkodra, and cannot today be turned into an object of ridicule for a political show. The Latin alphabet of Albanian is eternal evidence of the birth of the nation, and the chairman of the Alphabet Committee was Father Gjergj Fishta, not some priest connected to the secret services.
Jozefina really doesn't have the strength to face this war, but the puppets of the Patriarchate and Janullatos cannot use what she represents for a new "crusade".
If Grida Duma uses Josephine to get revenge, she is essentially bringing back to the stage a figure who was politically forgotten. And thus, out of perfidious spite, she is making him seem relevant again./ Pamphlet

I kemi parë dhe po i shikojmë katolikët në Romë dhe Europë, Amerikë, Kanada e Australi. Dhe 10 vite e nuk do kenë kisha ku të falen se po ja kthejnë islamistët në xhami. Se sa për katolikët nga Shqipëria e dimë që atdhe kanë Vatikanin dhe për fenë e tradhëtuan Shqipërinë. Nuk është më i mirë apo më i ndryshëm një klerik italian se sa një grek. Njësoj janë, të dy do bëjnë politikën e vendeve të tyre ndaj boll më. Të quash ortodoksët "këlyshët e Patriarkanës dhe Janullatosit" tregon ndjenjë urrejtjeje dhe inferioriteti. Po katolikët atëherë çfarë janë sipas të njëjtit arsyetim ? Janë "këlyshë të Vatikanit dhe Peraqjinës dhe Vitales" ?? Jemi shqiptarë o zotëri ! Sa për krushqit amerikano-malësor-katolik që qenkan mërzitur, kur bën krushqi me djallin do durosh dhe ca mallkime nga viktimat e tij.. Po nuk duruat atëherë jepini, çfarë prisni ? Tregojani vendin Gridës dhe "këlyshve të Patriarkanës dhe Janullatosit". Ndaj këto ndasi me Grida-ortodokse e Jozefina-Katolike janë dashakeqe e largojnë vëmendjen nga debati kryesor : 500 000 euro dasëm nga një punonjëse e lartë administrate!
