The end of Albanian representative democracy

Shkruar nga Fadil Lepaja

The end of Albanian representative democracy

We all know who brought Doruntina, nobody knows who brought Rama, Berisha, the others among us, above us, always in the political sense of the word? The forces of time, money, ideological movements, global or regional interests?

Is Berisha a typical representative of Albanians? What about Rama? When you? How old? What about ministers, deputies, officials who face justice? Do the courts and prosecutors, heads of institutions, all those who receive money or decisions on behalf of the citizens, really represent our citizens?

In general, time brought each of these to power, and some were forgotten there. Then time brought others and wanted to seat them in the same representative chair, but the old, the forgotten, do not give up the chair without a fight, without burning the country, no one can break away from the sweet bread earned with sweat... even blood shed in the trenches of representation. Were Albanians not killed to overthrow the government, to take power?

Some have remained as relics that represent nothing but their own impotence and character corrupted by long time in politics. How can one not spoil one's character when one is dealing with the problems of the electorate all the time: will they vote for me or will they not vote for me, this time.

The representatives no longer represent the electorate; the electorate represents them.

Politicians show their power by taking the electorate to the streets, blocking democracy.

How did they come to power? How did they come to the opposition? How did they become representatives? While we all know who brought Doruntina, no one knows who brought Rama, Berisha, the others among us, above us, always in the political sense of the word? The forces of time, money, ideological movements, global or regional interests?

It is clear that there are Albanians who are ashamed of the behavior or public statements of their representatives. They want to change them but they have no alternative. Who can replace a Sali? What about an Eddie? An albino? Until they are replaced, they remain irreplaceable for the electorate. Even when they are replaced, the electorate does not do this.

This happens because the power of our representatives is not with the people, but the power of the people is with the representatives. The people have fled anyway. Only those who have nowhere to go are left. Representatives do not worry. Most of the people have nowhere to go.

Those who are left imitate the models, then look in the mirror and say: this is us. We are them, they are us.

So, you got it, democracy has evolved. No need for three pillars anymore. The legislature and the executive. Who needs the judiciary? No one is satisfied with the judiciary, except for the criminal. Then, the Justice system can be replaced with a software managed by artificial intelligence. It redefines the notions of Artificial Intelligence and ... it is resolved.

For example, decriminalization is the solution.

Remove theft, narcotics, bribery from the list of crimes and everything calms down. Let's declare communism in Capitalism. It has nothing to do with Marxism. Just take what you need, work when you want and where you want. Real crimes like murders and bodily harm can be solved by the police themselves, but even those would disappear by themselves. Who would kill someone if it is not for money or passion.

You see, even if the judicial system collapses, no one will investigate the difference. It would happen more or less like with the doctors' strikes. When doctors go on strike, mortality falls. Patients refuse to die without medical care. Even crime, in a system without courts and prosecutors, would disappear. Or it wouldn't be called that anymore. Not even criminals would feel that way. A seller of heroin or marijuana would be as respected as a potato seller.

After all, even euthanasia is allowed, why should smoking, drugs, alcohol, prostitution be banned...?

Imagine how society would function without judges and lawyers, without prosecutors and the most sophisticated bureaucracy of a democratic society. If drugs, prostitution, bribery were not crimes, the courts could be replaced by a collective jury, which would vote with emoticons for half an hour, through social networks, after hearing the public suspects.

So, when a crime happens, which would be rare of course, first someone announces it on his profile, the list of suspects would be created by the commentators and the debate would be opened. The debate would continue even in famous shows with millionaire moderators, on the street, in cafes everywhere.

Then, a shortlist of potential criminals would be created. The opinion of various associations and groups on social networks would be taken. The parties would die out. slowly the parliament would also disappear: the laws would be taken in Big Brother Albania or Big Brother Kosovo by electronic voting. Then we would all behave according to the winning pattern.

Will I burn Facebook, Berisha, if I close Zukenberg, the pulpit? And Rama, what will he do if they close his podcast? Eh...!

So, do you feel like shouting "down with the judiciary" or "down with the parliament"? Come on! It seems that it is enough that every adult citizen to be part of direct democracy should have a profile on social networks, verified with a personal number and a bank account. Then, open the electronic vote exchange?

So… got it? It's just satire my friend. Be careful with your words. There is still a court. In the self-proclaimed enemy. Then, there is no safety either, without crime. The more crime, the more security. If some activities were decriminalized, many jobs would be closed, many businesses would go bankrupt, there would only be peace. It would bankrupt especially politics. Then, who needs peace? Who does the policy represent/ Pamphlet
