In the first speech after his victory was seen as irreversible, Donald Trump, in simple words, mentioned the political movement that had brought about an unprecedented victory in US history.
A political movement, which is in practice a coalition that brought political triumph, both in the popular vote, but also victory in all the key states where the US president was elected.
This political coalition makes Trump quite different from that of 2016 or 2020. If we compare the votes of the past elections, Donald Trump has received less popular votes. In 2020, he received over 74 million votes, while today he received a little more than 71 million. While Joe Biden, in 2020 received over 81 million popular votes, and today Kamala Harris, has stopped at the limit of 66 million votes. So, he is missing more than 14 million votes from 4 years ago.
Compared to the elections of four years ago, there has been a smaller mobilization of voters, unlike in 2020 when perhaps the highest number in American history turned out to vote from both parties.
But it is a fact that Kamala Harris has a visible and clear crisis of lack of support both from the permanent militants of the Democratic Party and from the gray electorate or Republicans dissatisfied with Trump. This in the key states, as a result of the deep crisis in the USA among a part of the population, there is also the political uncertainty that has lasted for years now.
Donald Trump, seeing the big problem he touched on in 2020 when he was President, so he had more opportunities to attract votes, this time he built a broad coalition not just on the right but across the board.
With Trump this time there were two very important components of American society; Elon Musk and Tillerman of artificial intelligence, who represent a strong part of Silicon Valley, the American technological cream, as well as Robert Kennedy, who is a representative of the liberal anti-establishment left.
This political movement represents a perfect coalition, which like a bulldozer gave Donald Trump the victory of all possible powers. Both the Presidency, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Given that Republicans also control the Supreme Court, Trump is practically a king with total absolute power.
A political movement that will definitely turn into a model for the way, but also the causes it represents. The three causes that gave Trump victory are: Immigration, rising prices and stopping wars.
The cause that mostly united ordinary people with major economic and social problems. Who have consistently voted for the Democrats but have remained in the same situation. A model that quite naturally has been applied for years by right-wing and populist movements, which mainly target the poor electorate, who are asked to change direction, since at least they have nothing to lose.
But a movement that has within it not just characters, but important target groups of society and above all, the new industry, which has a direct impact on people.
As we know, nothing was spared in these elections, not even the 'cash' that was given to voters in the form of a lottery to hide the buying and selling. But in reality it was like that.
There was an almost iron will of the Trump movement to triumph, planning everything in detail and with clear objectives across the board. Unlike the Democrats, who brought back the same 'old soup', and moreover their coalition this time was weaker than that of Joe Biden in 2020.
