What would happen if every person accused of corruption appeared at the doors of the Special Prosecutor's Office surrounded by twenty bodyguards and forty supporters who foam and scream in defense of their boner as if justice were a popular thing and the crowds wanted it? to decide on the guilt or innocence of the accused?
Protests against the institutions of justice, the anathema and lynching of prosecutors and judges nominally, the threat of life in television studios or portals, is turning into a dangerous 'sport' in Albania, opening the way for every criminal and delinquent to take courage and do the same.
What would happen if every person accused of corruption appeared at the doors of the Special Prosecutor's Office surrounded by twenty bodyguards and forty supporters who foam and scream in defense of their boner as if justice were a popular thing and the crowds wanted it? to decide on the guilt or innocence of the accused?
These scenes are reminiscent of Albania in the years 1913-1914, where every figure with local political influence had behind them the fanatical crowds that were ready at any moment to destabilize the newly created fragile state. Of course, we are not in those conditions and today's crowds, apart from burning some car tires, do not pose a social danger, but the anachronistic appearance created leaves a bitter taste that things are not going right.
In normal countries justice institutions work and confronting them is done individually and not by mixing the political organization or using the supporters to gain courage and show the justice that if you convict me, you will have to deal with them.
The poisonous armosphere created by political parties to attack justice institutions must end urgently.
In no way should politics be allowed to tie the hands of justice, so that it does not have the opportunity to function properly.
Independent institutions, such as the institutions of justice, are the property of the sovereign and it is the people who have the responsibility to protect them.
In the conditions when certain political groups, organizations, parties or politicians come together to attack these institutions, it is the duty of the sovereign people to stand up, unite in defense of the institutions, to support and encourage them in their work , against any corrupt politician who is investigated or tried for corruption.
Only a justice that has the ability and the courage, the will, the energy to put senior politicians in the dock, that is justice that can work for everyone.
The hour of confrontation with SPAK is coming for every corrupt politician, yesterday or today, left or right, in power or in opposition, to the honest people of this country, those who have no work and connection with justice, those who have never in their lives misused the public's trust or put an illegal penny in their pocket or those parties and groups that support the work of the new justice institutions without any reservations, join together not only in the next political confrontation, but, why not, also in a mass protest of solidarity and encouragement for the institution of SPAK and GJKKO, as the only way to expose the indelible shame of the corrupt cowards who confront they want to exercise justice with 'braves' with them.
They forget that before justice and before God, you go alone.
