The Prime Minister of Albania will start a strange Balkan tour tomorrow with the theme of the Berlin Process. Strange because, from the foundation until today, the events that have taken place exclude Edi Rama from any role of tutor or flag bearer of this process.
Albania cannot be a tutor because it is a beneficiary, it cannot have a more special status than the other 5 countries of the Western Balkans. The tutors are over 6 parties, in Berlin, Paris and Brussels. They are the guarantors of this process, precisely so that neither party benefits.
The opposite of the Open Balkans, where Vucic and Rama, putting Zaev in the middle, tried to include the Western Balkans in a process directed by them, for their political and economic benefits. In a process where only the autocratic leaders were the guarantors, and therefore the lifespan would be as long as their desire to give loans to each other. Today, when the Open Balkans failed, as one of its founders and promoters, Edi Rama cannot even be the flag bearer of the Berlin Process.

It was Kurt who insisted on the Berlin Process. Now Rama asks for a meeting to convince Kurti that Kurti was right? It's not just a lack of coherence, it's a lack of shame. Kurti is sparing Rama this shame and that is the least reason why he should not meet her.
The cancellation without any reason of the joint meeting of the two governments in Gjakova, as a premature sanction, as a flagship of the measures against Kosovo, at the height of the crisis in the North, would have created a conflict in any interstate relationship, no matter how fraternal. In the case of Albania with Kosovo, this was more than a diplomatic incident, more than an embargo, it was a blow in the back, precisely at the moment when it needed the most support to face the crisis created by Vucic.
After doing this, after presenting a project for the Association of Serbian Municipalities while completely ignoring Kosovo, after filling the Western offices with the thesis of equating the aggressor with the victim, Rama, instead of an apology, is asking for a meeting in the role of the regional leader, he is asking from the one who hit him in the back, to legitimize him as a negotiator of the region, as the peaceful leader without whom the Western Balkans cannot do.
This means that Kurt turns the knife that is still in his back inside himself. His proposal for a joint meeting, instead of a meeting between the two Prime Ministers that only serves Edi Rama, is even very advanced, it amnesties an unacceptable decision, in favor of relations between Albanians.

Në emër të Ballkanit të Hapur, në emër të paqes që po sillte Rama me Vuçiç, apo në emër të paqes së re që do sjellë negociatori i pakërkuar, gjithmonë Kosova është keqpërdorur, është nxjerrë në dritë të keqe, pavarësisht se kush ka qenë Kryeministër.
