The KLSH audit, the vital importance of "ECMO" and how QSUT deceives!

How many people have died due to the lack of this device? Cardiac surgeons say that over 50 people a year have died due to this device. But the people questioned by the auditors of the Supreme Audit Office have made a big mistake, not unintentionally, but to hide the truth...

This is the official audit document of the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution (KSAI), following the complaint I made about the lack of the life-saving "ECMO" device.

What is ECMO? It is a device that saves your life when your heart and lungs are not working properly. The "ECMO" device is installed on the patient, and he stays alive until the heart or lungs regain their functions.

The KLSH audit, the vital importance of "ECMO" and how QSUT deceives!

The KLSH audit says that this equipment has never been in the Cardiosurgery Department, QSUT. SCANDAL. How many people have died due to the lack of this equipment? Cardiosurgeons say that over 50 people a year have died due to this equipment.

The KLSH audit, the vital importance of "ECMO" and how QSUT deceives!

But the people questioned by the SAI auditors have made a big mistake, not unintentionally, but to hide the truth.

As you can read, they said: For a similar function, but with a very limited effect than ECMO, there is an extracorporeal circulation device (or heart-lung machine).

There is a big trick here, as every cardiac surgeon knows very well that the ECMO device has a different function than the heart-lung machine.

ECMON cannot replace a heart-lung machine.

ECMO is more for short-term support of patients (up to 2 months) who can recover (with or without the need for surgical intervention), while the heart-lung machine is used mainly during surgical operations.

ECMO is used in cases of loss of heart function, for example: it is used for acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis, and in cases of severe lung problems, so that these two organs continue to work but do not weaken. While the heart-lung machine is used to completely stop the function of these organs and to perform operations on them.

Another difference is that the heart-lung machine is only used during surgery, for a maximum of 4 hours.

While ECMO, up to 2 months (as appropriate).

ECMO is even necessary in some cases waiting for surgery in order to stabilize the condition and allow the patient to enter the room. The stabilization of the heart and lungs cannot be done by a heart-lung machine.

Question for those who want to unify ECMON and heart-lung machine!!!

•Can a heart-lung machine be used to improve lung function?

NO! It is not designed for this function.

• Can the heart-lung machine be used for a long time, until the patient is out of danger? Absolutely not! Using the heart-lung machine for a long time damages every organ of the patient.

• Can a patient remain connected to a heart-lung machine without anesthesia? NO, this is not possible.

• Can the heart-lung machine be used in resuscitation, outside the room? NO, because it is a device used for surgeries, not for patient support.

All of the above is accomplished using ECMOS and not a heart-lung machine.

To say that the heart-lung machine replaces the work of ECMOS is ignorance at best and crime at worst!
