A few days ago, he submitted a request to a secretariat of popular party meetings in Brussels to declare Albania a narco-state and for this, a fact-finding mission should be set up. The secretariat has agreed to register the request.
To support a political campaign based on a lie, it is necessary to first train yourself to believe it. It is a difficult psychological test. Sali Berisha is the best at this type of competition, having practiced this method for years after political defeats.
This time he has broken all records. He is trying to train himself and his people in two ways: in believing the news he has invented himself and in believing the real news that is against them, but which they must present as if it is in their favor.
A few days ago, he submitted a request to a secretariat of popular party meetings in Brussels to declare Albania a narco-state and for this, a fact-finding mission should be set up. The secretariat has agreed to register the request.
After this, for two days now he has been declaring that the People's Parties have declared Albania a narco-state.
Now most of the European popular parties had their prime ministers in Skanderbeg Square in Tirana congratulating Edi Rama on his victory and are in full support of Albania, but that doesn’t matter to Berisha. He needs to force himself to believe that the fact that he left a letter with a secretary in Brussels asking for Albania to be declared a “narco-state” is important news and that this is a battle won.
Before the training to get used to the first lie was over, the second news arrived, this one the truth. At the height of Berisha's demands for Albania to be declared a "narcostate", the European Parliament approves the report on Albania, calling it a champion country among countries seeking membership and realistically looking at the objective of membership in 2029.
Of course, it is a disaster for those who want to declare Albania a “drug haven.” But even here the mechanism of autosuggestion, or self-deception, is put into motion.
Without worrying too much about the truth of the report, and the greatest political support in history given to Albania by the European Commission, Berisha came out and said that this report rejected the elections in Albania and denounced the narco-state.
After Berisha, according to the level of intelligence, comes Flamur, Klevesi, Albana, and so on.
And this comes from the attempt to self-suggest that even when there is positive news, you can see it as negative news, assuming that people do not read and understand, but only listen to Sali Berisha. And since Flamur, Klevesi, Albana etc. do this, they think that all Albanian people do this.
So don't be surprised by the gap between the European Parliament's extremely positive report on Albania and Berisha's statements claiming that it is a "stigmatization" of Albania. It is part of his autosuggestion and his own losers. They are trying to convince themselves that they have not lost and that they are winning the battle to declare Albania a "narco-state". With this they postpone it for four years until the next elections come again and they get half of these votes they have. Then they start to convince themselves again that they have won even more, despite the deep defeat.
Their battle is not to change and not to leave the DP. For this they do not need the votes of the Democrats, which they do not have, nor their support. They need to convince themselves that they are the winners and that the other side has lost badly. Then the rest is real history that they have nothing to do with. Now they are in the phase where they are lying to themselves.
