Albanian politicians want to see who is leading them and who are the people around them who can lift their spirits. And how much can they be trusted...
For several weeks, a group of people from the Democratic Party have been seeking to reform this formation, through a movement that has a good approach. Wherever they go, Salianji and his followers are enthusiastic among the Democrats of the DP. The action shows that they want change with all their being, while being left in opposition for more than a decade has worn them out. It is self-evident that the Center does not “ignore” this action in the form of a “Foltore” model movement. Mr. Berisha, when asked about Foltore and Salianji as a candidate, has repeated that he has self-excluded himself.
Others are not outside this logic, citing the rule and the statute. This new schism within the DP is showing Salianj not only with ambition but also very calculated in his movements on the ground. By representing the youth, he is channeling a spirit, which will be difficult to manage by "SHQUP". But while the part of the comfortable people and people close to Berisha have neglected it and are giving messages of alleged indifference, there is more and more spirit among the democrats, which seeks real catharsis. The last round table showed this quite openly, even though the real democrats are still not waking up.
They are adding to the gray area. First, because this movement represented by Salianji does not really understand who among the well-known names of the DP really supports it and who is ready to sacrifice. And, second, which could be the first better, this Movement does not have a document in the form of a public treaty on the objectives, as well as a description of the current reality of the DP.
It is true that a party that has two general elections that does not conduct analysis cannot proceed with really logical, stately actions. In this context, we recall that Alimehmeti, who was among the first to speak out openly and was on the side of Salijanj, now seems peripheral, while the other names are invisible. A Movement cannot be represented by a single person, but one of them can be its rhetorical voice.
Albanians in politics want to see who leads them and who are the people around them who can raise a spirit. And, how much can they be trusted. However, even with this handicap, the grassroots democrats, long since effectively sidelined, welcome them. Be it the “Salianji” Platforms or the “Berisha” Platforms. Now the fight is made with participation numbers, not with numbers of personalities who can advance such ideas. And, as for the representative document, it serves as the pawn of a movement.
The treaty mobilizes, compels and above all inspires. If it continues like this, the Movement will remain simply a schism that will sooner or later take a blow from its own ego. Spinoza, in a different time and space of thought, explained the schism in a different character, but one that fits today's political logic...even the Albanian one of these days: "Schisms do not stem from the love of truth, which is a source of kindness and gentleness, but rather from an excessive desire for supremacy."
