The former president of the country, Ilir Meta, chairman and soon the main candidate for president of the PL, a party created in a few hours, raised above the LSI, is not even related to Vojo Kushi. Neither as a character (among other things, Vojo had attended military school and was also a gymnast), but neither what he represented. Joining a force that anathematizes heroes diminishes one's anti-fascist credentials, just as climbing bars does not make one a gymnast. Vojo was a brave young man who decided to die because he had nothing else to do.
Sali Shijaku, whose mother was the last person to see him alive, confirmed this to the author of these lines. "He had a disfigured face, pale and his eyes were moving constantly and I told him that we were the whole neighborhood surrounded", I remember the words of the painter, who was guarded by his mother, who saw the martyr for the last time. But, for him it was the last minutes and he only had the ideal without being able to make a philosophical perception of the path he followed, whether it had been good or not!
Ilir Meta lives in a democracy and already seems seriously endangered by the justice bodies, but more than that crushed, since the head of the state is already a man who does not please for anything. This is not just a tragedy, but the natural path of the people of Albanian politics for what they raised and what normally belongs to them. However, Meta has announced the "reformation" of the party, which in fact has simply transformed into a personal detachment, where he has also shown the structure, which in the end ends with him: He in charge. In the meantime, I don't have time to reflect on the path that raised him and that shows the paradoxes of how such people are filtered. A bell for our entire society in all segments.
Without counting what he is saying about Justice (and ironically he is right, because SPAK still does not scare you) or his speech, which shows a character with mediocre political training, but surprisingly able to exist in the jungle Albanian, Meta is doing a great service. He is showing that the time has come to have a new Law on Political Parties and this as soon as possible.
It is no longer just about the Achilles Heel of the Law, the funding, but the filtering of people and internal elections. Since the adoption of the law on political parties in 2001, this law has undergone many changes and it is important to look at the effects of these types of changes, but in the case of Mr. Meta, they have shown that the current law has the physiognomy of articulating pre- politician of Mr. Meta, firstly for party elections and their structures. Albania needs change, but more than that, for Albanians to understand that the time of the people Meta, Berisha and Rama should remain in the museum, but not near the Vojo Kushi pavilion, which will already be modified and maybe it will no longer be the same before, but somewhere where they may not be visited with care. And, there they can't overshadow Vojo's brave class, which they mention, when their last dekik comes.
