How to spot a crypto-Ramist

How to spot a crypto-Ramist

Perhaps it's worth listing these "arguments" to discern the hidden agenda behind them.

At the post-victory rally in Skanderbeg Square, Edi Rama issued an order, which, since that day, has become the refrain of all television studios, of what the fake oppositionists, who have found a form of survival in this regime, repeat; of what the supposedly independents, who still have some kind of semblance left, say; or the useful idiots who are too lazy to put their brains to work.

In that speech, the Prime Minister said that this people have decided “not to change the government without first changing the opposition” of this country. Since that moment, the “deconstruction” of this directive has appeared in public in various ways. So perhaps it is worth sorting out these “arguments” to discern the hidden agenda behind them.

1- Alibia: "Rama did not win, Berisha lost"

Supporters of the idea that we had normal elections are caught like a drowning man by a straw to say that the people did not elect Rama, but condemned Berisha. They mention it with pathos and use every argument to prove this thesis. But they "forget" that after 12 years in power and the discovery of half a dozen thieves in the government, Rama received more votes than ever in history (a full 856 thousand) that he had won neither in 2009, nor in 2013, nor in 2017 nor in 2021. So Rama's victory does not come only as a result of the opposition's disintegration, but also for the simple fact that with his methods, he achieved a record number of votes in favor of the SP.

2-The alibi of a weak DP

Another argument is that of a weak, disorganized DP that lost voters, which produced the electoral surge of the opponent. Yes, at first glance, these are true, but it is important to understand that the prime minister was not entirely responsible for creating these symptoms, and was even personally involved in their inflammation. It is now a fact, even according to the statements of the new American administration, that the declaration of Berisha as Non Grata was a lobbied act. Likewise, fighting it with McGonigal-style methods is no longer in doubt.

If we do not forget that these sponsored attacks coming from abroad also caused the new justice system to keep the DP for almost half of its mandate without a seal, without finances and without legal recognition, because its leader was isolated for a year without being able to exercise his normal activity, it is easier to understand why the DP shrank. After all, it was not competing with a rival party but with an entire state.

So the argument that the DP was weak cannot be seen outside the project of leveling the playing field for all.

3- The "little ones'" alibi

4- Alibia me relativizimin e bandave

But, they forget to use the same weight and the same measure in judging all the factors in the game. Otherwise, how can it be explained that the attacks of Duman's guys on Veliaj, Beqaj, Ahmetaj, Koka, Tahiri had no impact on the vote for the SP? The alibi that the electorate despises the 'thieves' of one party and loves those of the other is unacceptable even for a minimal logic.

8- Theft within the species alibi

The standard-bearers of the defense of a normal process are forced to admit with a half-hearted voice that sometimes even completely anonymous ministers managed to defeat, on the open list, SP figures such as former prime ministers.

But, they stop only at the conclusion of this paradox because they dare not claim that this criminal-administrative machinery that stole votes within the same category, once put into operation, could not but have been used as a weapon against opposition rivals.

9- Alibia: La Civita was to blame

Members of the same category say with their mouths full that people could no longer chew on the tales of lobbyists who wanted to lie to them about MAGA in La Civita or the possibility of removing Non Grata. Maybe they are right.

But the same people who use this reasoning to attack the opposition's election results consider it normal what Rama did with McGonigal, Trump's son-in-law in Sazan, or the sale of the country's sovereignty to Meloni. Their contradiction is that lobbying for one works while it boomerangs for another.

10- The permanent alibi: "Saliu was, is and will be guilty"

So in short, it is easy to spot a camouflaged Ramist because he will find a more sophisticated form to repeat the refrain that his spiritual leader has been singing for a decade and a half to justify everything: "Saliu is to blame."
