One of the most well-known and repeated tactics of this majority is the use of the "carrot and stick" method, which comes as a result of power and great opportunities to influence public opinion.
Before the elections, the government appears generous: fines are forgiven, bonuses are given to pensioners, a small salary increase, despite the fact that it does not even balance inflation, illegal construction is legalized, and the administration is inflated with temporary employment (all to 'buy' support and feed the false illusion of caring for citizens).
But once the ballot box closes and victory is assured, everything changes. The whipping begins: personal income tax is increased to 23%, vehicles are confiscated for tax obligations, and thousands of fines are imposed every day, in the name of the law whose eyes were deliberately closed before the elections.
This is not a new story. It is a familiar cycle for Albanians, who unfortunately have a short-term memory. They enjoy the moment, take what is given to them, but fail to make the necessary connections to understand that these are deliberate, well-planned, and repeated actions. Until they learn to see beyond the carrot, they will continue to feel the weight of the stick.
