This was evident in yesterday's session of the Parliament, where a large portion of the deputies were on edge.
The lack of a health bulletin on Sali Berisha's virus has led to, in addition to a vacuum, some rumors that seem not entirely spontaneous.
Voices coming from the "family media kitchen" are suddenly spreading the idea that Berisha's absence has brought a drought to the blue headquarters' politics.
These voices are saying that no one other than the leader is doing the doctor's bidding and the space is not being filled in terms of quantity, let alone quality and content of political response.
Seen in the remote context of these reactions, doubts arise as to whether we are dealing with a "political virus" or whether the doctor is truly not feeling well.
What is normal after a long campaign, for someone of his age, is a few days of rest and peace. Especially after the headache of the situation across the ocean, even though a large amount of dollars was moved - a full six million.
However, even if the virus is the real deal, the signals of such a critical reaction to the current leadership under Berisha seem to have both its causes and consequences.
First, the debate, the discussion, is shifted from the resignation or removal from the post of the DP leader using the "Basha article", with the aim of creating a new front to discredit the first.
The second is the creation of a reality show-like situation, where tensions are heightened for the next nominations or eliminations. And in this case, it seems that the first fables, where fantasy runs wild, have begun to circulate from political media speculators.
Fantasies have moved from Flamur's quarrel with Albana, to the expected punishment of Gaz Bardhi, the return of Saljanj, or the appointment of a new leadership.
All these signals create a perception of possible purges in September, but they seem more to shift attention from the "Basha article". Since Berisha does not have the comfort, at least now, to launch a purge campaign, especially before the local elections, since the apparent division could take on even greater dimensions as a perception
The doctor is interested in a status quo, but as he has always done, he is interested in playing with names and situations, to deceive the public, mainly the opposition. To give them false hope that there will be movement, purges, or accountability after the grave result of May 11th.
At least keep it going until September, because then, after the heat of August fades, maybe a new story will emerge, to be woven from the family television remotes.
However, even though Berisha wants to show that he is firmly in the game, albeit reluctantly, playing the threads of intrigue and media play, the issue of leadership problems seems to remain.
And this was evident in yesterday's session of the Parliament, where a large portion of the deputies were on edge.
The only one of the reconfirmed candidates who had a "mistake" was Gjekmarkaj, who seems to have taken it easy again, and is not bothered by the level of humor or the doctor's nerves.
