Who needs Netflix when you have Parliament vs. the Constitutional Court: an endless season of political theater?
Imagine a country where MPs decide to play with the cornerstone of democracy, the Constitutional Court, the game "we are sovereign".
And now, when the Parliament decides to treat the decisions of the Constitutional Court like the advice of a teenager at a family meeting?
"Judge as you like, but the meadow is mine," says Parliament with a patronizing smile, patting the court on the head as if it were an immature child who doesn't quite know what "rule of law" means.
The court, with a monk's calmness, already sees how its decisions are thrown into the trash can.
"How strange," say the diplomats, sipping their diplomatic tea, "to see a country that equates the rule of law with the rule of the majority."
And so, the saga continues, with each episode stranger than the last.
Citizens are finally realizing that democracy is not just a process, but a performance.
