Even SP individuals penalized by SPAK are not satisfied with it, but they fight a legal battle and are opposing the measures in court.
The United States of America and the European Union are the main protagonists in organizing a ceremony on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the formation of SPAK. Of course they have the best words for it.
Albanian politics is not that it feels so happy with SPAK at its feet, but at least it has started to learn.
Socialists, who have the highest number of victims from it, are trying to create a culture of acceptance of justice and an effort to separate political responsibility from individual legal responsibility, which avoids political conflict between them and SPAK.
The Democratic Party has a serious problem at this point.
Since SPAK has been criminalized by Sali Berisha's political language, PD has adopted Berisha's personal attitudes as the party's attitudes towards SPAK.
This is the complete opposite of what SP does. Even SP individuals penalized by SPAK are not satisfied with it, but they fight a legal battle and are opposing the measures in court.
The fact that an entire party adopts as a political attitude towards such an important institution of justice the personal and family attitude of the chairman of the party, makes PD not only a party in trouble, but above all makes the situation of Berisha's reports even worse with the US and the EU.
To understand all Berisha's lies about the Democrats, that with the arrival of Trump he will be stripped of his "non grata", just his attitude towards SPAK is enough. The US will either support SPAK, or "protect Berisha". How can the US administration simultaneously justify SPAK as a successful institution, and Sali Berisha as innocent, when he calls SPAK a criminal organization?
On the day when the Assistant Secretary of State for the Balkans comes to Albania to support SPAK on its fifth anniversary and hears that for the DP chairman it is a criminal institution, of course one can expect some new sanctions, but no relief.
On the other hand, the other DP leaders, who when they go to meetings at the Embassy are pro-SPAK and against Berisha's positions, should have the opportunity to express themselves publicly: in this celebration for the 5th anniversary of SPAK, do they think the same like Berisha, that SPAK is a criminal organization?
This is not that it does any favor to SPAK, but it does some honor to PD to consider it a political party and not a gang of the Berisha family.
SPAK in this case is not only an institution that takes an x-ray of corruption in Albanian society, but also an x-ray of democracy within the DP, as it shows everyone that, if there is a gang and a criminal organization under the orders of one man, it is PD.
