In recent months, the right climate that was created in the ranks of the Ministry of the Interior and the State Police, created the possibility of starting without delay the process of clearing the ranks of the blue uniforms from those incriminated. The process of purging the police of police, police officers, and middle and high-ranking officials associated with crime remains a national emergency.

Suspicious, uneducated elements, even with early ties to criminal elements, have penetrated and grown in the State Police. The connections are early and extend to other state institutions.
The crackdown of the last few months, the strict implementation of regulations, laws and recruitment procedures, or the scandals revealed by the media and the internal structures of the Ministry of the Interior, has led to the discovery, arrest and investigation of a significant number of police officers, police officers, chiefs of police stations, and even police directors. The temptation was unbearable, until they were put under the orders of the crime, abusing the post, the uniform, and the laws of the state.
Cleansing the State Police of elements related to crime and gangs remains the challenge of Minister Balla. This challenge and this process has started, having the support of our strategic partners, who support the deep reforms that have started in the ranks of the State Police and superior structures. In post offices and police stations in Tirana and districts, there are police officers, with and without work experience, connected to gangs, who have been paid and have violated the law and debunked the actions of the State Police. Some of them turn out to be drug users, and connected to traffickers and even drug distributors. This unpleasant situation is not being tolerated by the Ministry of the Interior.
In the last 2 months alone, over 47 police officers, heads of police stations, heads of police departments, and other officials have been investigated, arrested, dismissed and tried. The alarm was given to the Ministry of the Interior by the investigative structures of our strategic partners, where in their interceptions, the names and roles of policemen and officials in the traffic networks and activities of criminal gangs appear. Purging the Ministry of the Interior and the State Police from those connected to criminal networks remains a challenge that Tauland Balla has started and will win, undoubtedly with the support of our partners, the intelligence services of the USA and the European Union.
The results have not been lacking, but there is still a lot of work to do until the discovery and removal of every person who is still in the ranks of the State Police, is paid by our taxes, and fills his pockets with crime money.
