
Greek police are investigating the case as a mafia assassination, considering settling scores as a possible motive.
An Albanian man was executed in Greece this afternoon. The shocking incident took place in a vineyard in the Rafina area, where the 41-year-old Albanian, identified as Altin Arapaj, was found dead with a head wound.
According to reports from Protothema.gr, the 41-year-old was shot with a bullet that grazed his cheek, seriously injuring him. Despite the wound, it is learned that the Albanian managed to call his wife, where he told her that he had been shot by a friend of his. Arapaj is learned that he revealed the full identity of the perpetrator to his wife, who also turns out to be of Albanian origin.
According to police sources, the suspected perpetrator is Mikel Selimaj, 46 years old from Vlora, a person with a previous criminal record for drugs.
The alarmed woman is reported to have called the police, who immediately went to the scene to find and provide first aid to the Albanian, but the search was not easy due to the large area of the vineyard.
After a search that lasted several minutes, Greek police initially found the victim's phone, while a few meters away the lifeless body of the 41-year-old man was found, who had apparently crawled in search of help.
