The rupture of a gas pipe at a gas station in Shkoza has caused a gas leak in the surrounding area.
It is learned that the incident happened at around 11:35, on "Sadik Petrela" street, where a gas pipe of a fuel was broken.
Sources for the media inform that the police forces went to the scene of the incident, which also surrounded the area for security purposes.
That's how the fire brigade arrived. Residents of the surrounding area have also been evacuated, although the situation continues to be under control.
The road leading to the gas station is blocked by the police until the situation is normalized.
"On 30.09.2023, at around 11:35 a.m., on "Sadik Petrela" street, in a gas station, a fuel gas pipe was broken.
Police, ambulance and fire services are at the scene, as well as technicians who are working to fix the defect.
The Police Services have evacuated the residents and for security reasons the Shkoza bridge road and the dangerous perimeter have been temporarily blocked. The investigative group is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident," the police announced.
