Serious accident on the Fier-Lushnje highway, the car breaks the barriers and ends up in the canal; the young man loses his life 

A fatal accident occurred in the early hours of this morning at the Kolonjë roundabout on the Fier-Lushnje highway.

It is reported that a Golf type vehicle, at around 04:30, went off the road, breaking the side barriers and ended up in the drainage canal.

As a result, a 28-year-old man from Tirana lost his life. The victim has been identified as Serxhio Gogaj.

Police and firefighters went to the scene, making it possible to remove the vehicle from the canal.

It is suspected that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to drowsiness and then, due to high speed, broke the iron barrier and ended up in the drainage canal.

Forensic medical expertise will determine the causes of death, while the victim's body has been sent to the Lushnja morgue.
