Today, after 3 months of searching, the 24-year-old man who organized the transport of 7 immigrants, who died together with the driver of the vehicle in a road accident on the "Kelcyre-Përmet" axis on April 2 of this year, was arrested.
24-year-old Stivljano Ndou from Shkodra was taken into custody.
The detainee tried to escape from the services of the Shkodra Police, with the motorcycle he was driving.
" As a result of the searches carried out by the services of the Local Police Directorate of Shkodër and the coordination of the work with the services of the Gjirokastra Police, with the aim of capturing the citizen declared wanted for the case dated 04.02.2024, when in a road accident, in "Kelcyre-Përmet" axis, 8 citizens, 7 emigrants from Pakistan and the driver of the vehicle in which they were transported, lost their lives, in violation of the law, it was possible to locate in Shkodër, capture and handcuff the citizen SN, 24 years old, resident at Shkoder.
For this citizen, the Prosecutor's Office of Gjirokastra has issued a prohibition order for the criminal offense "Aiding for illegal border crossing", committed in cooperation. From the investigations carried out, it was found that this citizen, against payment, organized in cooperation with 3 other citizens (the driver of the vehicle, who lost his life in the accident, and citizens A. Gj. and RD, who were arrested on 03.04.2024), the transportation of 7 immigrants from Pakistan, who intended to cross the borders illegally, destined for EU countries.
The 24-year-old was handed over to the services of the Gjirokastër Local Police Directorate, for further procedural actions. "- announced the police.
