Accused of murdering a person two years ago, 22-year-old Albanian extradited from France to England

An Albanian accused of murdering a person in late 2023 has been extradited from France to England.

According to the Metropolitan Police, Arlind Hashani, 22, of Bray Fellows Road NW3, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, August 15, where he was formally charged with murder, following his extradition from France. He was arrested in Paris on July 30.

Hashani was remanded in custody and is expected to appear before the High Court in Wood Green on Tuesday, August 19.

He is accused of murdering Ahmed Ali Jama, 29, who was found with stab wounds near the Gaymead area, on the Abbey Estate, Abbey Road, at around 7.32pm on the evening of 29 December 2023.

Despite assistance provided at the scene, Ahmed later died in hospital.
