A 32-year-old man has been arrested by Durrës police after being accused of attempting to kill his neighbor with a car.
Benard Shkajoti is reported to have hit a 40-year-old man with the initials LD, 40, a resident of Sukth, with a vehicle after a conflict between them. The latter, as a result of the collision with the vehicle, suffered injuries and was transported to the Durrës Regional Hospital, where he is receiving medical attention.
The 32-year-old was arrested for committing the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder", "Attempted Murder" and "Irregular Driving".
The alcohol test showed that Benard Shkajoti was driving while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level of 0.92 mg/l. Meanwhile, the police seized the vehicle with which the young man hit his neighbor as material evidence.
"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person, at the Durrës Police Department, arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen B. Sh., 32 years old, resident of Sukth, Durrës, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder", attempted murder and "Irregular Driving".
In the village of Perlat, Sukth, after a conflict for weak motives (insults and insults), this citizen attempted to kill his neighbor, citizen LD, 40 years old, resident of Sukth, with the vehicle he was driving. The latter, as a result of the collision with the vehicle, suffered injuries and was transported to the Durrës Regional Hospital, where he is receiving medical assistance.
The Durrës Police Commissariat and the Traffic Police conducted an alcohol test, which resulted in him driving while intoxicated, with a level of 0.92 mg/l.
The vehicle was seized as evidence.
"In cooperation with the Prosecution, work continues on the full legal documentation of this event. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance, General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action," the police announced.
