A 28-year-old man has been arrested by the Durrës Police for a series of thefts in the city, while his accomplice will be investigated at large.
The police have arrested Renato Meta, under the charge of theft and attempted theft, in apartments and other premises, in neighborhoods no. 13 and no. 14.
"Involved in 5 thefts/attempted thefts, during 2 months, a 28-year-old man was arrested and his 17-year-old accomplice was released on bail due to his age.
As a result of investigative actions carried out as part of the "Rule of Law" mega-operation, immediately after the reports received for theft and attempted theft, in apartments and other premises, in neighborhoods no. 13 and no. 14, the crime investigation specialists of the Durrës Police Station, in cooperation with those of the "Shqiponja" Special Force, arrested the citizen of RM, 28 years old, and referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state for a 17-year-old citizens, both residents of Durrës.
These 2 citizens, allegedly cooperating with each other:
- on 14.02.2024, they tried to steal in the apartment of citizen AM, in neighborhood no. 14;
- on 11.02.2024, they tried to steal equipment, in a warehouse owned by citizen RB, in neighborhood no. 14;
-on 30.01.2024, they stole a laptop, in the apartment of citizen PG, in neighborhood no. 13;
- on 26.01.2024, they attempted to steal from the apartment of a citizen of MT, in neighborhood no. 13;
- on 13.01.2024, they stole equipment, in the apartment of citizen M. Xh., in neighborhood no. 13", the police announced.
