Hamza Lici, the brother of Ibrahim Lici, declares from Turkey that the latter was not arrested by the police, but surrendered.
Lici said that his brother has surrendered to the Turkish authorities with the intention of seeking asylum in the Turkish state because he does not feel safe in Albania.
"My brother has not been arrested, as the state police in Albania declared, but he surrendered to the Turkish authorities in order to seek asylum, as he does not trust the Albanian state and government. The state in Albania has been proven to cooperate with criminal gangs, so Ibrahimi has decided to hand himself over to Turkey. In Albania, my brother's life is in danger and thus he has decided to surrender.
It is not true that he was arrested, but as always the police want to make a sensation even though there is nothing true. My brother is innocent because he has not committed any murder and this is proven, but Albanian justice does not want to take him into account. Ibrahimi will follow the procedures of the asylum seeker in Turkey and cannot be extradited since in Albania his life is in danger due to the cooperation of the state with criminal gangs", declared Hamza Lici from Turkey.
