Just a few meters from where the 40-year-old murderer of his wife was found by police today, in the apartment on Konstanta Street in Volos, screams of grief, pain and anger were heard throughout the neighborhood.
It was the moment when the children of the 36-year-old woman killed by her husband, Pandeli Nakoleci, as well as the relatives who were close to them, were informed that the perpetrator of the brutal murder had no more time to hide. He had been arrested.
The apartment contained the three minor children and the 18-year-old daughter of the 36-year-old woman, one of the victim's sisters, and the perpetrator's father.
They eagerly awaited the police investigation, while mourning the tragic loss of their girlfriend, they expressed fear of facing the killer. Their home was surrounded all night by police officers, who had spread a protective net for the children, while simultaneously monitoring any suspicious movements.
The 36-year-old's 18-year-old daughter, Katerina, wanted to break the silence, to talk about what she felt in those first hours. She spoke exclusively to TACHYDROMOS and wanted her words to be shared further.
She was holding her cell phone in her hands and looking at it, showing the photo of her mother, bruised from the beatings, with fatal knife wounds on her body.
Through tears, at a point further away from her young brothers and sisters, she said to the POSTMAN:
" What he did to my mother, I will do to him too. I will take revenge on him. I never want to see him again! But I will make sure I meet him, because I want to say "shame" to him!"
I will avenge my mother. I lost her, she "ran away" from his hands, but for me they are both dead. I love my parents, but now they are both dead. It's me and my siblings.
I no longer have a mother or a father. Just like my younger siblings. From now on, I will be both mother and father to them.
"I will not tell my family's secret. I will keep it to myself. We know what we were going through. He envied my mother and us, her children. We were a family that he envied. Now he destroyed us ," said the 18-year-old, heartbroken by the tragedy.
" Let him go to prison and never come out again. Let him rot ," said one of the 36-year-old's sisters, Ioanna, shaking, mourning the loss of her lover, but also expressing great anger for the 40-year-old who took her life so tragically and untimely.
Ioanna spoke of a terrible life at his hands and described her sister's hell to TACHYDROMOS.
" My sister went through a lot with her. She was a dynamic woman, who worked for a living, a supportive mother to her children, who adored them and gave her life for them. I want to say so much more about my sister, but I am not able to... ", she said and stopped speaking, holding her mouth to prevent the screams of pain at the unimaginable tragedy from coming out.
In front of the palace entrance, at the place where the 36-year-old took her last breath, her family left a lit candle and a flower... at the place where the 36-year-old's torture ended in the worst possible way!
