Today, the testimony of the 30-year-old from Pogradec, Eglantina Isufi, who abandoned her newborn baby in the basement of a building in Yzberisht, was revealed.
She stated that she works in a shoe factory, while adding that her boyfriend abandoned her and was not interested in her after she became pregnant.
She stated that she was not married and could not bear the child. The mother from Pogradeci also gave the name of her boyfriend, who was questioned by the prosecution.
"I work in a shoe factory. My boyfriend's name is Klodi, he abandoned me and wasn't interested after I got pregnant. I was in pain and I went to the garage, I couldn't take it because I was under pressure from family members who didn't accept it since I was unmarried", she declared.
Her baby was sent with signs of life to the "Koço Gliozheni" Maternity Hospital, but despite the efforts of the doctors, he could not survive.
The Tirana court, this Sunday, assigned the 30-year-old a security measure of "house arrest".
