"Someone tried to wash away the blood", new details from the murder of

23-year-old Albanian, Hekuran Cumani, was found dead in the parking lot of the Faculty of Economics and Mathematics at the University of Perugia, Italy.

The police were notified around 4 a.m. and when they arrived they saw that the Albanian had been stabbed to death. A deep, visible wound to the body, near the chest, which proved fatal.

Several young people present at the scene testified that a fight between another group of young people occurred, as they left immediately after the stabbing.

A quarrel over trivial reasons escalated into tragedy. Italian police arrived at the scene to conduct investigations and take testimony from eyewitnesses.

Local authorities are collecting evidence from the scene to solve the crime. According to information, Cumani had arrived in Perugia with some friends to spend the evening in the city.

His social group then met with several other young people living in Perugia and it is suspected that the two groups clashed physically and with hard objects.

Alcohol bottles and plastic cups were found around the entrance booth and along the stairs connecting the area to Via Elce di Sotto. A bloodstained plastic bottle found near the scene leads investigators to suspect that someone may have tried to wash away the blood after the attack.
