
New details have come to light regarding the tritol explosion that took the life of businessman Armandi Nelaj in Saranda.
The results of the analyzes at the Scientific Police Laboratory confirmed a while ago that the explosion that took the life of businessman Armandi Nelaj in Saranda was caused by an explosive substance, tritol. In the subsequent police investigations, an ongoing conflict that Nelaj has had with another competitor that makes the Saranda-Corfus shipping line, Finikas Lines, which is owned by Andrea Qirjakos, was investigated.
The investigators suspect that the explosives were brought to this ship, but it exploded on the way there, journalist Sokol Dema informed today.
Meanwhile, the photo of businessman Nelaj's friend, Eridion Muho, who has been arrested, has also been published.
"As a result of the investigations, citizen Erdion Muho, 35 years old, resident of Saranda, was detained. It is suspected that this citizen, in cooperation with the citizen Armandi Nelaj, had planned to put a quantity of explosives on one of the ships operating on the Saranda-Corfuz line, for competition reasons. This quantity of explosives exploded accidentally, during the attempt to transport it and put it on the ship, and as a result citizen Armandi Nelaj lost his life", the police announced on July 29, 2024.
