New details have been revealed regarding 300 kg of cannabis sativa that were seized in Montenegro, a drug which turned out to have been imported from Albania.
According to the sources, it was learned that another vehicle was entered into the scanner at the Port of Durrës, which turned out to be clean because there were no narcotics inside it.
After the truck left Durrës clean, it is suspected that father and son, Ilirjan and Kristi Orhan, arrested in the neighboring country, took the license plates of the vehicle that was subjected to the scanner and placed them in another truck in the territory of Tirana , which was captured at the border point of Han i Hoti.
The investigators have doubts that the drugs were loaded on the outskirts of Tirana or in Durres, and for this the investigators are working on reviewing the security camera footage.
The company that did the transport turned out to be fictitious, unregistered, dealing with the transport and trade of dried fruits.
The police are also investigating other collaborators involved in this international drug trafficking scheme. The same sources add that the investigators are already verifying where the truck was loaded with drugs and where the other truck that had its license plates removed and was found clean in the scanner of the Port of Durrës ended up.
