A 47-year-old woman from Elbasan has been arrested by the police after being convicted in Italy on charges of drug trafficking.
According to the blue uniforms, Majlinda Avduli alias Dajana Tafani, 47 years old, was arrested and is expected to be extradited to Italy after being sentenced to 9 years, 6 months and 22 days in prison for the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking", committed within the framework of a criminal organization.

As a result of the coordination of work and exchange of information with Italian partners, through the homologous structures Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, the services of the Special Operational Force Directorate, within the framework of the operation "Operacionalja 44", located in Elbasan, captured and handcuffed, with the aim of extradition to Italy, the citizen:
Majlinda Avduli alias Dajana Tafani, 47 years old, resident of Elbasan.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Appeal of Cagliari, Italy, in 2016, sentenced her to 9 years, 6 months and 22 days in prison, for the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking", committed within the framework of a criminal organization. Interpol Tirana is cooperating with its counterparts in Rome, to finalize the extradition of this citizen to Italy", the police announced.
