The Cerrik police have solved the theft at the Democratic Party office. Two people were arrested this afternoon.
Citizen Arben Metani, who had stolen a television and a computer from the political building of the "Democratic Party", was arrested and was proven to be an perpetrator with a criminal record.
Klevis Zane, suspected of possessing a stolen computer, was also arrested. The police seized the stolen items and handed them over to the political entity for safekeeping. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
Police announcement:
He stole electronic items (television and computer) from the political entity of the "Democratic Party". The perpetrator, previously convicted of the criminal offenses of "Theft" and "Domestic Violence", was identified, arrested and put in handcuffs.
A 46-year-old man who appropriated the stolen computer was also arrested.
Stolen items are seized.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Cërrik Police Station in cooperation with the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, in continuation of the work to uncover and legally document the theft that occurred in Cërrik, in the entity rented for electoral purposes, made it possible to identify, capture and arrest the perpetrator of the case, citizen:
– Arben Metani, 36 years old, resident of Cërrik.
Also, following the actions, the arrest of citizen Klevis Zane, 46 years old, was made for the criminal offense of "Appropriation of money or goods derived from a criminal offense or criminal activity". From the investigative actions, it is suspected that citizen AM, during midnight, stole 1 computer and 1 television in the rented premises for electoral purposes and sold the stolen computer to citizen KZ. The stolen items were seized and left in the custody of the political entity.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, for further action.
