A serious incident was recorded this evening in Tirana, where a person attempted to set himself on fire. It is learned that a 60-year-old man in the "Arrow Palace" area doused himself with fuel and then set himself on fire.
Fortunately, the police response was immediate, which made it possible to extinguish the flames on the 60-year-old's body. However, despite the quick intervention, the 60-year-old suffered burns to his face and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the circumstances and causes that led the 60-year-old to commit this extreme act remain unclear.
" Tirana/Preliminary information/ On 08.02.2025, at around 19:05, at the Palace of Arrows, near a gas station, citizen IQ, around 60 years old, attempted to harm himself, suspected of using fuel.
Police services intervened immediately, neutralizing the spread of fire in the body.
Citizen I. Q was transported by ambulance for medical assistance, after suffering burns to his face. The investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances of the case , "the police announced.
