Dritan Rexhepi, an important exponent of Albanian crime, was extradited from Turkey to Albania, where he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing a policeman and is also accused of ordering the kidnapping and killing of Jan Prenga in Kamza.
Journalist Sokol Bregu made a profile of Rexhepi, his crimes and their chronology in the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, stressing that he will bring many problems to Albania's prisons.
"Dritan Rexhepi is a dangerous character, but above all very violent. Apart from the murders he has committed since he was 19 years old, all of them were committed with violence. In Belgium, he raped the owners of the house he stole from. This is the asyya that was often arrested. Three times he escaped from prison, 6 times he went to prison, but he found countries like Ecuador where through corruption he pretended he had a skin disease and went under house arrest.
The strange thing is that he chose Turkey, which has strict justice where you cannot escape, and why he chose it when he was wanted by 5 countries, including Albania.
He is a man who imposes himself on others a lot, he does not carry money with him, but jewelry, so he has a lot of criminal activity.
In his first trip in 2012 to Ecuador, this is because of his presence there. On the BBC there is a photo of him only when he entered London. Interpol considered him a person with a red phone, i.e. high risk.
He was frequently arrested and abused the victims. What happened to him in Durrës in 1999, when he escaped, was an insecurity and he got a file and he came out as if he finished questioning the Durres police. When he escaped to Belgium, the director of the prison resigned, because they put him in a low-security prison.
He did not have his own organization, but he cooperated with everyone. At no time has there been a direct connection with Albania, but with international organizations. He was enrolled in the Faculty of Law with a regular passport.

He was extradited to Albania because of the murder of a policeman. In Belgium, he was wanted for theft and rape of two old men. Albania has sentenced him to 25 years in prison for the murder of the policeman and Jan Prenga.
I am convinced that the prison system here has to eclipse that in BIS 41 they will only leave it for two years, which is the law and then it will create problems with the system. There is no history of revenge and a hired killer is accused of killing the policeman in Fushë Krujë", said Bregu.
