Other details have been revealed from the investigation file of SPAK about Rexhep Rapin, known as Kep Arapi, who allegedly tried to eliminate his opponent Xhevdet Plaku for revenge motives, according to News 24.
According to the special prosecution, at the moment when the police officer Dedan Gjoni informed that he was going to take Plaku out of the back door of the Durrës police station, Kep Arapi organized the armed group in order to execute him.
" After the alert that the citizen Davey Germëni gave to the person named Geri (identified as Algert Rapi), Rexhep Rapi (Kep Arapi) organized with his people to commit the murder of the citizen Xhevdet Plaku", the file states.
But the murder was not carried out, as Germany asked Algert Rapi, the nephew of Kep Arapi, for the latter and his men to withdraw, for fear of being discovered, since Dedan Gjoni had forwarded the data to him on the WhatsApp application and not on encrypted phone.
In an intercepted conversation, Germany can be heard saying to Algert Rap: "what is he doing like this, man, we didn't leave him like that".
"Tell them (with the Kalashnikov) to run away because he (the old man) is no longer in the region, they have released him ," Germëni - the grandson of Kep Arap - can be heard saying.
The conversations were intercepted by Dutch authorities, who were investigating Davy German for involvement in a criminal organization that cultivated drugs. In this context, Germëni was observed in every movement and was eavesdropped while talking to different people in his business premises.
" In the period from the beginning of March 2020 to the end of September 2020, in the premises of the company "Alba Cars" sh.pk, citizen Davy Gjermëni was spoken to several times and with different people about a murder for which they were assured the conditions and material means to realize it in the summer of 2019 in Albania ", it is emphasized in the file.
He tells the plans to Toni Dervish, who was executed in Durrës, a few months ago, while telling him details that it was Dedan Gjoni who ambushed Xhevdet Plaku. He even talks about meetings between the police official and Sukthi's fort, Kep Arapi, at the latter's bar in Lalzi Bay.
The murder of Xhevdet Plaku was planned to be carried out on September 17, 2019, in Durrës, when he was accompanied to the police station by police officer Dedan Gjoni, with the claim that he was using an armored car.
SPAK says that Rexhep Rapi, known as Kep Arapi, his nephew, Algert Rapi, Davey Gjermëni, also known as Elton and Sako Gjermëni, as well as the police officer Dedan Gjoni, created the conditions for the murder of the Elder, for revenge motives. Kep Arapi accused Xhevdet Plaku of being the author of the murder of his brother, Sali Rapi in 2000 in Savona, Italy.
